It looks like another warm day on tap. We started the morning out around 10 degrees warmer than where our average high is for this time of year. Here is a map of the morning lows across the state.
It also looks like another dry day before an approaching front from the north west currently located in the Dakotas. Showers are expected to be isolated tonight into tomorrow morning. The showers and thunderstorms can be expected to be more wide spread durning the afternoon on Tuesday into Tuesday night.
The map to the left is for Tuesday evening. Notice the precipitation across Iowa. It doesn't appear it will be windy with
the rain.
The map to the righ is the HPC precipitation forecast for the amount or rain from Tuesday morning until Wednesday morning. There appears to be a bit of a bullseye over eastern Iowa with .50"-1.00" of rain possible.
The Storm Prediction Center (SPC) does not have a risk of severe weather for the precipitation forecast for Tuesday.

Yesterday was spectacular!! Could have done without all the wind though. That would be great if the weather was like this all year round.
