With the potential of another heat wave on the horizon please don't forget children and animals in vehicles during the summer months. It is like leaving them in an oven. The temperature heats up quickly in a vehicle. Check out the graphic above to see how fast the temperature inside a closed vehicle can get over 100 degrees. In 2007 there has been at least fourteen deaths of small children after being left inside a hot vehicle. Last year there were at least twenty-nine such fatalities in the United States due to hyperthermia after they were left in hot cars, trucks, vans and SUV's. Click here for more information.
