Summer Heat

We are ten days away from the official start of summer (June 21) and temperatures are going to start to fell like summer this week as highs will be in the mid-upper 80s. When it starts to get warm or hot the amount of moisture in the atmosphere has a bigger impact on the heat index. Above is a chart to give you an idea of how it feels with certain conditions (temperature/dew point). The higher the dew point the more uncomfortable it feels. When the dew point reaches 60 or above is when most people notice the muggy conditions. This may be the case this week. Don't forget to take it slow and drink plenty of water.
