An approaching cold front will bring showers and thunderstorms this afternoon. There is a slight chance of a severe storm or two in eastern Iowa. Stay tuned for later updates.

Rain amounts across eastern Iowa could be up around one inch with some isolated higher amounts as the front pushes into a moisture rich environment.
