Today is the first full day of spring...so why not spring thunderstorms. Not very often does the weather change as the season changes. The morning weather map shows a warm front lifting north across Iowa. Along and south of the warm front scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms can be expected. The cold front, to the west this morning, will move through Iowa tonight. Showers and thunderstorms will be more widespread tonight as the front swings through the state. There is a slight risk for a few severe thunderstorms with the main threat being large hail and damaging wind.
